Getting your numbers into QuickBooks

Use the Connect QuickBooks button, or the always-available CSV export if it shows unavailable.

There are two ways to get Rennt data into QuickBooks: the Connect QuickBooks button (a one-click OAuth connection) and the always-available CSV export.

The Connect button#

In Settings, the QuickBooks card has a Connect QuickBooks button. Click it and you are sent to Intuit's own login to authorize the connection — Rennt never sees your QuickBooks password.

i
If the button reports the integration as unavailable, the connection has not been enabled on the platform yet. Use the CSV path below in the meantime — it covers the accounting need completely.

The CSV path (works today, always)#

  1. Open Bookings and click Export CSV.
  2. The file includes dates, amounts, and tax — formatted to import cleanly into QuickBooks.
  3. In QuickBooks, use its import tool to bring the file in, or simply hand the CSV to your accountant.

Most small rental companies reconcile monthly: export the month's bookings, import, done in ten minutes.

Which should you use?#

If the OAuth connection is available, it saves the manual step. If not, the CSV is not a downgrade — plenty of accountants prefer a file they can inspect.

Export customers and Export products exist too, for bringing your other records along.
