Rennt sends SMS through YOUR Twilio account — you connect it once and pay Twilio directly for messages at their rates.

What you need first#

A Twilio account (twilio.com) with a phone number on it. From the Twilio console you will need three things: the Account SID, the Auth Token, and your Twilio phone number.

Connecting#

  1. Open Settings and find the Twilio card in the integrations area.
  2. Click Connect Twilio.
  3. Paste the Account SID, Auth Token, and from-number.
  4. Rennt validates the credentials against Twilio on the spot — bad credentials are rejected immediately, so a green result means it really works.
  5. Click Send test SMS and check your phone.

Costs and billing#

Message charges are Twilio's, billed by Twilio to your Twilio account. Rennt adds nothing per message.

Why bring your own account?#

Your number, your sender reputation, your rates — and if you ever leave Rennt, the number stays yours.

!
New Twilio accounts start in trial mode and can only text phone numbers you have verified with Twilio. If the test SMS works but customer texts do not, upgrade the Twilio account out of trial.
