Do I have to take credit cards? Can I just take cash?

Cash works out of the box. Cards are optional.

No. You can run entirely on cash and never connect anything.

Rennt is cash-first on purpose. Every new account can take bookings from day one with no payment setup at all — your Dashboard says CASH READY from the start.

How cash works#

Customers book online, you collect on delivery or pickup — cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, whatever you already do. Then open the booking and record the payment so your Reports and balances stay accurate.

Nothing is limited. Cash bookings are real bookings.

Why you might connect Stripe anyway#

Only one reason, and it is a real one: you get more bookings when people can pay right then. Someone browsing at 11pm who has to wait to talk to you is a customer who might call someone else.

Connect it in Settings → Connect Stripe. It is your own Stripe account — card money lands in your bank, on Stripe's normal payout schedule. Rennt never touches it and takes 0%.

Stripe charges their own processing fee (about 2.9% + 30¢ in the US). That is Stripe's fee, not ours, and it is the same fee they would charge you directly.

You can do both#

Most owners end up taking cards online and still accepting cash on delivery. Nothing forces you to pick.
