Set your sales tax rate once in Settings and Rennt applies it automatically to every checkout — customers see tax as its own line before they book.

Setting it up#

Settings

Enter the combined rate you are required to collect (state plus any county or city portion) as a percentage, then save. From that moment the storefront adds tax on top of the rental subtotal for every new booking.

How it shows up#

  • At checkout, the customer sees the subtotal, delivery and setup if any, then tax, then the total.
  • On each booking in Bookings, tax is broken out as its own amount.
  • Export CSV includes the tax column, so filing time is a spreadsheet sum, not archaeology.

What Rennt does not do#

Rennt applies the rate you enter — it does not look up rates by address or file returns for you. If you deliver across county lines with different rates, most small operators charge their home rate; ask your accountant what your state expects.

!
Confirm your correct rate with your state's revenue department or your accountant. This article explains how the software works — it is not tax advice.
