What does "0% commission" mean — and are there other fees?
We never take a cut of your rental revenue. The whole cost is $9-29/mo + 1¢ per booking.
It means Rennt never takes a percentage of what you charge your customers. Rent a $200 bounce house, you keep $200. Rent a $5,000 wedding package, you keep $5,000. We do not skim any of it.
What "commission" is#
A commission is a cut of every booking — a percentage the platform keeps for itself, often plus a per-transaction fee. It is the most expensive kind of pricing once you are actually busy: the more you rent, the more they take, forever. A single good wedding season can cost thousands in commission.
Who actually charges commission — and who does not#
It is worth being precise, because "0% commission" gets used loosely:
- Rental software like Rennt mostly does not take a commission. Booqable, Goodshuffle Pro and InflatableOffice all charge a flat monthly subscription and keep 0% of your rentals — the same model as us. (TapGoods adds a card-processing fee of about 1.9% + 25¢, but that is for running the card, not a slice of the rental.)
- Marketplace and lead-generation platforms are where commission really bites — sites that list your inventory to their own audience and take a percentage of every booking they send you. These commonly run 10% to 25% per booking. For example, Peerspace charges hosts a 20% service fee, and Booking.com charges roughly 10–25% (about 15% on average).
So Rennt's "0% commission" is a true, plain fact about us and a real contrast with the marketplace route — not a dig at other booking software, most of which is also commission-free.
Why we charge a flat price instead#
Rennt charges a flat price: $9/mo (Starter), $29/mo (Pro) or $199/mo (Max, intro price), plus one cent per booking. That penny is the same whether the booking is $50 or $50,000 — a flat fee to run the booking, not a slice of your revenue. It is deliberately tiny.
100 bookings in a month is $9 + $1.00 = $10 for the month. A marketplace taking 15% of those same bookings could charge you hundreds or thousands.
Are there any other fees?#
No hidden fees. The flat plan and the 1¢ per booking are the entire cost of Rennt.
One thing that is not a Rennt fee: if you connect Stripe to take cards, Stripe charges its own card-processing fee (about 2.9% + 30¢ in the US). That goes to Stripe, not to us — the same fee Stripe would charge if you built your own checkout. We add nothing on top of it and take nothing from it.
Where your customers' money goes#
Straight to your own bank. Card payments land in your own Stripe account (not ours), then pay out to your bank on Stripe's normal schedule. Rennt is never in the middle of your rental money and cannot touch it.
