Kits and bundles: package deals as one product
Sell a package as one storefront product while Rennt reserves every item inside it.
A kit is one storefront product that bundles several of your real items — "Party Package: bounce house + 4 tables + 24 chairs". The customer books one thing; Rennt reserves every component underneath, so availability stays honest.
Making a kit#
- In Inventory, find (or add) the product that will be the package itself — give it the package name, a photo and its own price.
- Click Make kit on that product's row.
- In Items in this bundle, add each component and how many the kit includes — 1 bounce house, 4 tables, 24 chairs.
- Save. The row's button now reads Edit kit for later changes.
How availability works#
When a renter books the kit, each component is added to the order too. If you own 30 chairs and a kit takes 24, a same-day booking that needs 10 more chairs will correctly show as unavailable. This is the whole point — no more overselling chairs you forgot were inside a package.
Pricing a kit#
The kit's price is its own number — it does not add up the components. Most companies price the bundle 10–15% under the pieces bought separately; the discount is why customers pick it, and one big booking beats three small ones.
