Connecting Google Analytics (GA4)
See how many people visit your storefront and where they came from. One pasted ID.
Google Analytics answers "how many people visited, and from where" — the question Search Console (what did they search) does not. Connecting takes one pasted ID.
Get your Measurement ID#
- Go to analytics.google.com and sign in with your Google account.
- Create a property for your business — Google walks you through it; choose Web.
- Google gives you a Measurement ID that looks like
G-AB12CD34EF. Copy it.
Paste it into Rennt#
Open the SEO tab (Advanced mode), find the GA4 Measurement ID field, paste, and save. That is the whole integration — your storefront starts sending visit data to your Google Analytics account.
What to look at (and what to ignore)#
Give it 24–48 hours to gather data, then check monthly:
- Users — how many people visited.
- Where they came from: Google search, Instagram, your Google Business Profile.
- Which pages they viewed — are people reaching products, or bouncing off the homepage?
Ignore the other hundred reports; GA4 is built for corporations, and these three answers are what a rental company acts on.
The pairing that matters#
Analytics tells you traffic; Bookings tells you money. If traffic grows but bookings do not, the site is the problem (prices, photos, trust). If both are tiny, distribution is the problem — see why-no-bookings in this help center.
