Connecting Google Search Console
Tell Google your site exists and see which searches show it. One button plus a sitemap.
Google Search Console is Google's own free dashboard for your site: it tells Google your pages exist and shows you which searches you appeared in. Connecting it is the closest thing SEO has to an on-switch.
Connecting#
In the SEO tab, click Connect Google Search Console and follow the steps — sign in with your Google account and approve. The tab walks you through it and confirms once you are linked.
Then submit your sitemap#
Your storefront publishes a sitemap — a machine-readable list of your pages — at:
https://rennt.app/s/your-slug/sitemap.xml
In Search Console, open Sitemaps, paste that address and submit. This is you handing Google the map instead of waiting for it to wander in. The get-indexed-on-google article covers this step in more detail.
What you get back#
After a week or two, Search Console shows which searches displayed your site, what got clicked, and any pages Google could not read. Check it monthly, not daily — a new site's numbers start near zero, and that is normal, not broken.
If the connect flow will not finish#
Make sure you complete the Google sign-in in the window that opens, using the account you want to own the data. Still stuck? Email support@rennt.app and we will look at the connection from our side.
