How do I get my site into Google? (indexing, step by step)
Submit your sitemap in Search Console. Here is the exact URL to paste.
Being live and being in Google are two different things. A live site Google has never crawled will not appear in search at all. This is how you tell Google you exist.
Your sitemap URL#
A sitemap is a machine-readable list of your pages. Yours is generated live from your catalog:
https://rennt.app/s/your-slug/sitemap.xml
Replace your-slug with whatever comes after /s/ in your storefront link. If you connected a custom domain, use https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml instead.
Open it in a browser — you should see XML with your storefront URL and a lastmod date. If you see that, it is working. It updates itself whenever you change your catalog.

- Go to
https://search.google.com/search-consoleand sign in with any Google account. - Click Add property.
- If you have a custom domain: choose the Domain option, type
yourdomain.com, and Google gives you a TXT record to add at your registrar — the same place you added Rennt's two DNS records. Add it, click Verify. - If you are on a rennt.app link: choose the URL prefix option and enter your full storefront URL. Verification via a Google Analytics tag is usually the easiest route here.
rennt.app itself — we own that domain, not you. If Search Console will not verify your /s/... link, that is the reason, and it is the single best argument for connecting your own domain (Pro). On your own domain you own the whole thing and everything below works properly.Step 2 — Submit your sitemap#
In Search Console, open Sitemaps in the left menu, paste your sitemap URL, and click Submit. Status should read Success within a few minutes.
Step 3 — Ask for a crawl#
Paste your storefront URL into the search bar at the top of Search Console (the URL Inspection tool), then click Request indexing. This puts you in the queue.
What we do automatically#
You do not have to do any of this — it is already handled:
- Your sitemap is generated live from your catalog and stays current.
- Your storefront serves a real page title, description and your actual product list in the HTML — so Google reads your catalog on the first crawl instead of waiting to run JavaScript.
- Your products are marked up with structured data (Product, Offer, LocalBusiness) so Google understands what you rent and what it costs.
- Once your storefront has at least 3 live products, it is added to Rennt's own storefront sitemap, which gives Google a second way to find you.
The honest timeline#
Weeks to months for a new domain. Nobody can make Google index a page — a sitemap is a strong hint, not an instruction. Anyone who promises you fast rankings is selling something.
What actually gets you customers sooner#
Be honest with yourself about the order here:
- Google Business Profile — free, and it is what shows in the local map results people actually tap. It outranks your website for "party rentals near me" every time.
- Share your own link — Instagram bio, Facebook button, and reply to every "how much?" text with your link.
- Real reviews — they drive the map results more than anything else you control.
- Then, in the background, the search indexing above.
