How can we help?

My domain will not verify

DNS records take time to propagate — up to 48 hours. Check the records match exactly, and never change nameservers.

Domain verification failing is almost always DNS records that have not propagated yet — the fix is usually patience, not more changes.

What is actually happening#

When you add a domain in the Custom domain tab, Rennt tells you which DNS records to create at your registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, wherever you bought the domain). After you add them, they take time to spread across the internet — minutes if you are lucky, up to 48 hours in the worst case.

The right moves#

  1. Double-check each record at your registrar against what the Custom domain tab asked for — exact type, exact host, exact value. One transposed character fails silently.
  2. Save, then wait. Re-check every few hours with Check / Connect rather than every two minutes.
  3. Delete any OLD conflicting records pointing the same host somewhere else — a leftover record from a previous website is a classic blocker.

What NOT to do#

!
Do not change your nameservers. You only need to ADD the records Rennt asks for. Switching nameservers can take your email and existing services down with it.

Still failing after 48 hours with records that match exactly? Email support@rennt.app with your domain name and a screenshot of your DNS records.

Custom domain is a Pro feature. Your regular storefront link keeps working the whole time — nothing is down while you wait.
