When a customer says a date is blocked and you think it should not be, one of three things is true: a blackout date is set, the quantity is used up, or an unconfirmed request is holding units.

1. Blackout dates#

Open the product in Inventory and check its Availability & blackout dates section. A blackout someone set months ago ("closed for the county fair") is the most common culprit. Remove it and the date opens immediately.

2. Quantity is genuinely used up#

If you own four bounce houses and four are booked that day, the date is correctly blocked. Check the product's Qty against that day's bookings in Bookings. If you actually own more units than Rennt knows about, raise the Qty and Save.

3. An unconfirmed request is holding it#

Pending requests reserve units so you cannot double-book while deciding. A stale request nobody answered is invisible inventory. Open Bookings, look at pending requests around that date, and confirm or decline them — declining releases the units instantly.

Stale requests cause most "phantom" blocks. Clearing your pending list every morning keeps availability honest.
