Stripe onboarding is stuck

Click Finish connecting to resume. If it loops, Stripe is waiting on a verification item.

If Stripe onboarding is stuck, click Finish connecting in Settings to resume — and if that loops, the holdup is almost always a verification item Stripe is still waiting on.

Resume first#

Stripe saves progress, so Finish connecting reopens the onboarding exactly where you stopped. Half-finished onboarding (a skipped bank account, unverified identity) is the number one cause of "stuck."

Check what Stripe still wants#

Log in at stripe.com and look for outstanding requirements — Stripe lists exactly what it needs. Typical items:

  • Identity verification (a photo of your driver's license)
  • Your EIN or SSN not matching IRS records exactly (enter the name and number exactly as the IRS has them)
  • Bank account details incomplete or failed verification

Fix the item in Stripe, then give it a little time — some verifications are instant, some take Stripe a day or two to review.

Still stuck after everything is green?#

If Stripe shows no outstanding requirements but Rennt still shows the connection incomplete, log out and back in, click Finish connecting once more, and if it persists email support@rennt.app with your storefront name.

You can keep taking cash bookings the whole time — a stuck Stripe connection never blocks your storefront.
