Photo upload keeps failing
The file is usually too big or an odd format. A smaller JPG fixes it nine times out of ten.
Plan: All plansWho: Everyone
When a product photo will not upload, the cause is nearly always the file itself — too big or an unusual format. A smaller JPG fixes it nine times out of ten.
The quick fix#
- Get the photo as a JPG (or PNG).
- Shrink it. Modern phone photos can be enormous, and a product photo needs nothing like that resolution. Emailing the photo to yourself at "medium" size, or taking a screenshot of the photo and uploading the screenshot, are both crude and effective.
- Upload again with Upload photo.
Format gotchas#
- iPhone photos are often HEIC, which some browsers will not hand over properly. Convert to JPG (the screenshot trick works) and retry.
- Photos straight from a real camera can be huge TIFF or RAW files — export a JPG copy instead.
If small JPGs also fail#
- Check your connection; big uploads on weak wifi time out. Try again on a strong connection.
- Try another browser or device — a phone on cellular often succeeds where flaky office wifi fails.

Bright, plain-background photos rent gear. While you are re-shooting anyway, shoot in daylight against a clean wall — it does more for bookings than any software setting.
