Emails are landing in spam

Mark one as not-spam and add the sender to contacts. Warn customers to check spam once.

If booking emails are landing in spam, the emails are working — the recipient's mail provider is just being cautious. A couple of small moves fix it for good.

For your own inbox#

  1. Find one of the emails in your spam folder.
  2. Mark it "Not spam" (Gmail) or move it to the inbox (Outlook and others).
  3. Add the sender address to your contacts. Rennt's emails come from a rennt.app address — adding it teaches your mail provider that you want these.

Do this once and future notifications almost always arrive normally.

For your customers#

You cannot click "not spam" for them, but you can head it off:

  • On the phone at booking time: "you'll get a confirmation email — check spam if you don't see it in a few minutes."
  • If a customer says they got nothing, have them search their mail for rennt.app — finding it in spam and marking it not-spam fixes them permanently too.

Corporate addresses are the stubborn ones#

Company mail servers sometimes quarantine unfamiliar senders entirely. For corporate clients, grab a personal email as a backup or confirm details by text.

i
A customer who reports NO email anywhere — including spam — is a different problem: check for a typo in their email address on the booking.
