Cancelling a booking#

Open the booking and cancel it. The stock is released immediately, so those dates free up for someone else the moment you do it. Do not leave dead bookings sitting confirmed — they are silently blocking your calendar.

Refunding depends on how they paid#

Cash or check — hand it back, then open the booking → Payments → record a refund. That keeps your ledger and Reports honest.

Card — refund it in your own Stripe dashboard. The money is in *your* bank account, not ours; Rennt never holds your customers' funds and cannot move them. Then record the refund on the booking so your numbers match.

!
Refund in Stripe FIRST, then record it in Rennt. Recording it here does not move any money — it only updates your books.

Your cancellation policy#

Rennt does not enforce one, deliberately. Whether you refund in full, keep the deposit, or offer a weather reschedule is your business decision.

Put it in your rental agreement. Then the customer signed it, you can print it, and there is no argument. A policy that only lives in your head is not a policy.

★
A weather reschedule clause is worth writing carefully if you rent anything that goes outside. It is the single most common dispute in this industry.
