Auto-calculate delivery & setup on phone orders
Storefront orders price delivery automatically. On phone orders, one button applies the same rules — so your quotes match your website.
When you enter a phone order with + New booking, you do not have to guess the delivery fee: type the delivery address, add the items, then press Auto-calculate delivery & setup. Rennt measures the distance from your base address and applies exactly the pricing rules your storefront uses — same base fee, same per-mile rate, same free radius — and fills the fee fields in.
Why this beats guessing#
The customer on the phone may have already seen a delivery price on your website. If you eyeball "$40?" and your site would have said $62, you either eat the difference or have an awkward conversation. The button ends the gap: phone quotes and web quotes come from one set of rules.
Setup pricing rides along too — it comes from each product's setup fee in Inventory, so an order with two tents prices setup differently than an order of tableware, automatically.
When it will not calculate#
- No delivery pricing configured. Set your base address and rates in Settings first — see "Delivery zones: pricing by distance".
- Your base address has no coordinates. Check the delivery pricing panel; without geocoding the calculation falls back to your flat base fee.
- Vague address. "The park on Main St" will not measure. Get the street address — your driver needs it anyway.
- Out of area. Past your maximum radius the storefront would refuse; on the phone, that is your cue to decline or name a custom price.
You can always override#
The result lands in editable fields. Waiving the fee for a neighbor or adding a difficult-access surcharge is just typing over the number before you press Create booking — the calculation is a starting point you control, and the customer's total updates with whatever you set.
