When a customer calls instead of using your website, press + New booking at the top of the Bookings tab and type the order in while they are on the line.

The form, field by field#

  1. Name and email — the email matters: it is how the customer gets their confirmation, and it is what links this order to their record in Customers.
  2. Event date — defaults to a week out; set the real date.
  3. Fulfillment — pick "Pickup (will-call)", "Delivery", or "Delivery + setup". Delivery reveals the address field.
  4. Event type — optional ("Wedding", "Birthday"), but fill it in: it feeds your Reports so you can see what you actually serve.
  5. Items — add products from your inventory with quantities. Rennt checks them against that date's availability.
  6. Delivery and setup fees — type them yourself, or press Auto-calculate delivery & setup once the address and items are in and Rennt prices it from your delivery settings.
  7. Notes — gate codes, "call on arrival", where to set up. These print on the pull sheet, so write for your crew.

Press Create booking to save.

After you save#

A phone order you entered yourself lands ready to confirm — press Confirm so the stock is actually reserved and the customer gets their confirmation email. Then take the deposit while they are still on the phone and record it in the booking's Payments ledger.

★
No email address? You can still take the booking — but the customer gets no confirmation email and no record link, so read the total back to them and write down a phone number.
