How can we help?

What is the difference between a Request and a Confirmed booking?

A request is a customer asking. Confirming it reserves the stock.

Request = a customer has asked. Confirmed = you accepted, and the stock is now held.

Request#

Someone booked on your storefront, but you have not accepted yet. The items are not reserved. Anyone else can still book them for that date.

Confirmed#

You clicked Confirm inside the booking. Two things happen at that moment:

  1. Rennt reserves those units for those dates. Your storefront stops offering them, automatically.
  2. The customer gets their confirmation email.

Why the two-step exists#

So you can check the date, the address and whether you have a truck free before you commit your gear. Some owners want that gate; some do not.

If you do not, just confirm them as they land. There is no penalty and no setting to change.

★
Filter to Requested and clear it once in the morning and once at night. A request sitting unconfirmed for two days is how you lose a customer to the next company they call.

The rest of the statuses#

Paid — the balance is settled. Fulfilled — it went out. Returned — it came back. Cancelled — dead, and the stock was released back to your calendar.
