A tour of the customer record
Every person who books is filed automatically. Their record holds order history, every message, notes, tags and documents — one screen per human.
Open Customers and click any name: the record that opens is the complete file on that person. You never build these by hand — every customer who books (from your storefront, your chat agent, or a + New booking phone order with an email address) gets a record created and kept up to date automatically.
Order history#
Every booking they have ever made, with dates, totals and statuses. This is where "have you worked with us before?" gets a real answer — what they rented, what they spent, and whether anything was cancelled. Repeat customers reveal themselves here fast.
Communications#
The paper trail. Log a phone call as a note ("called about June 14 availability — wants the white tent"), and send emails with Send email directly from the record — sent messages are logged here automatically, so six months later you can see exactly what was promised. If you work with a spouse or a crew, this section is what keeps everyone telling the customer the same thing.
Notes and tags#
Free-form notes for anything worth remembering ("prefers morning delivery", "venue has no truck access") — press Save notes after editing. Tags are short labels for slicing your list: "repeat", "venue", "planner", "corporate". See "Notes and tags that actually help" for a tagging scheme that stays useful.
Documents#
Upload files that belong to the person, not to one order: a venue's certificate-of-insurance request, a tax-exemption certificate, a signed off-platform contract. Next season, it is already on file.
