How can we help?

Drivers on their phones: the driver view

Give each driver a login with the driver role — their phone shows just the route: navigate, call, and mark stops done.

Your driver does not need your whole dashboard — they need today's stops, a navigate button, and a way to mark things done. Give them exactly that: invite them under Team with Send invite and set their role to driver. When they log in on their phone, Rennt shows them an operations-only view — Dashboard, Bookings, Dispatch, and Check-in / out — and none of your money, settings, pricing or customer-marketing screens.

What the driver sees on the road#

Their Dispatch view is the day, stop by stop, in the order you set:

  • Each stop: customer name, address, the items on the truck for it, and the access notes ("gate code 4412").
  • Navigate — the address opens straight into the phone's maps app.
  • Call — one tap dials the customer, for "I'm 10 minutes out" or "nobody's answering the gate".
  • Mark delivered (or Mark picked up on a pickup route) — one tap when the stop is done. You see the stamp arrive back at base in real time.

Setting a new driver up#

  1. Team → Send invite with their email, role: driver. (Team logins are a Pro feature.)
  2. Have them log in on their phone and keep the tab handy — Rennt works as a web app; no app-store install.
  3. Ride-along rule for week one: navigate from the stop, call from the stop, mark from the stop. Phones stay in the app, not on group texts.

Why the restricted role matters#

It is not about trust — it is about clarity. A driver's screen with four items on it gets used; a screen with your revenue, billing and settings on it gets ignored or, worse, tapped. Seasonal crew can be invited in June and removed in September from the same Team screen.

Drivers can also scan gear out and in — their role includes Check-in / out, so the truck can check units back at the warehouse without waiting for you.
