Editing a booking after it is made

What you can change on an existing booking, what you cannot, and the clean workaround when a customer changes their order.

Open the booking from Bookings and you can change its status, its fulfillment location, its money (payments, deposits, extra charges), and print documents. What you cannot do is rewrite the customer-entered fields — name, event date, address, or the item list — in place.

What you can change#

  • Status — the action buttons at the top (Confirm, "Mark paid", "Mark fulfilled", "Mark returned", "Cancel") move the booking through its life.
  • Fulfillment location — if you set up warehouses under Settings, a "Fulfillment location" dropdown on the detail assigns the booking to one.
  • Money — the Payments ledger records deposits, payments and refunds (cash, card, check, other), and Add charge bills extras like damage or a late fee. The balance recalculates as you go.
  • Paper — Print pull sheet and Print agreement always reflect the booking as it stands.

When the customer changes the order#

If they want a different date or different items, the clean path is: press "Cancel" on the old booking (this releases the stock immediately), then rebuild it with + New booking with the new details. It takes a minute and keeps your availability honest — editing quantities by memory is how double-bookings happen.

For a small change that does not touch stock — a corrected phone number, a gate code — record it where your crew will see it: the notes on the booking print onto the pull sheet, and on Pro you can keep permanent notes on the customer record.

i
Cancelled-and-rebuilt bookings both stay in your history. That is a feature — you can always see what was originally requested.
