Export customers to a CSV
Your customer list is yours — download it anytime for a mailing list, a mail-merge, or your own backup.
Your customer list exports with one click: go to Inventory, open the "Import & export" section at the bottom of the page, and press Export customers. You get a CSV — a plain spreadsheet file — that opens in Excel or Google Sheets. (Export bookings and Export products sit right beside it if you want everything.)
What people actually do with it#
- Email marketing. Import the list into an email tool and announce the season: "Booking summer dates now." If you connect Mailchimp under Settings, you can skip the file entirely — Sync existing customers now pushes the list across directly, and new customers follow.
- A holiday mail-merge. Names into a card template. Old-fashioned, absurdly effective for a local business.
- Your own backup. Export quarterly and keep the file. Your data always lives in Rennt, but a business's customer list deserves a copy the owner holds.
- Moving accounting or CRM systems. Every serious tool imports CSV.
Handle it like the asset it is#
This file is names, emails and phone numbers of real people — your most valuable business asset and your biggest privacy liability in one download.
- Do not leave copies in your Downloads folder on a shared computer.
- Email people about your business, include an unsubscribe line, and honor it. One spam complaint from a birthday mom costs more than the email earned.
- Never sell or share the list. Beyond the legal exposure, your reputation in a local market IS the business.
