How can we help?

Send email from a customer record

Email customers straight from their record — with an AI draft to start from — and every message logs itself to their history.

Plan: ProWho: Everyone

To email a customer, open their record in Customers and press Send email. The message sends without leaving Rennt, and — the part that pays off later — it is logged automatically in the record's Communications section, so there is one history of everything anyone told this customer.

Writing it (or letting the AI start)#

The composer gives you a subject and message body. Press Draft with AI and it writes a first pass for you — it knows the context, so a reply about a booking comes out sounding informed rather than generic. Edit it until it sounds like you (shorter, warmer, your sign-off) and send. The draft costs a small amount of AI credits; writing from scratch costs nothing.

What to use it for#

  • Confirmation follow-ups: "You're on the calendar for June 14 — here's what happens next."
  • The balance reminder a week before the event, with the amount from the booking's Payments ledger.
  • Cancellation and change notices — Rennt does not send these automatically, so this is the tool for them.
  • The after-event thank-you, which is quietly your best marketing.

Why logged email beats your personal inbox#

When it is in the record, "did anyone tell them setup ends at 4?" has an answer anyone on your team can find. Search your Gmail for that in July and you will appreciate the difference. Log phone calls too — a one-line note in Communications right after you hang up.

These are personal, one-at-a-time messages. For bulk email to your whole list, connect Mailchimp under Settings and sync your customers there — see "Export customers" for the list itself.
