Create a quote, step by step
For weddings and corporate jobs that need a pitch instead of a checkout — build a priced, photo-rich quote in a few minutes.
Plan: ProWho: Everyone
Bigger jobs rarely book themselves through a cart — someone asks "what would you charge for…" and expects a document. That is the Quotes tab. Press Create a quote, and build the pitch from your real inventory.
The walkthrough#
- Open Quotes (a Pro feature — on Starter you will see the upgrade prompt instead).
- Press Create a quote.
- Pick the customer — or enter a new name and email. Quotes attach to the customer record, so the whole negotiation stays on their history.
- Add items from your Inventory, with quantities. Because these are your real products, each line carries its photo and price — that is what makes the customer-facing version persuasive.
- Adjust prices and add lines for anything custom — a package discount, a staffed attendant, a venue surcharge.
- Press Save quote.
A saved quote is a draft: nothing is reserved, and the customer has not seen it. Send it as a proposal link when ready — see "Sending a quote: what the customer sees".
Habits that win quotes#
- Respond the same day. Event planners collect three quotes and often take the first competent one.
- Quote the full picture — tables *and* linens *and* delivery *and* setup. A complete number beats a cheap incomplete one.
- Not sure what to include? Draft with AI builds a first pass from a one-sentence description of the event, using your own catalog.

A quote does not hold stock. If the date is filling up, tell the customer honestly — "I have 2 of 3 tents left for that Saturday" closes deals.
