Sending a quote: what the customer sees
Your quote becomes a photo-rich proposal page at a private link. You can see when they have viewed it — and when they accept.
A quote is sent as a proposal link — a private web page showing the items with their photos, the quantities, and the total, with an accept button at the bottom. Open the quote and use "Copy proposal link", then paste the link into an email or text to the customer. (On a booking's detail screen the same tool appears as "Share as proposal".)
What the customer sees#
A clean page with your branding: each item with its photo and price, delivery and any fees, deposits or waivers you charge, and the total. No login, no account — the link itself is the key. They can read it on their phone in the parking lot after touring a venue, which is exactly when you want your pitch in their hand.
Tracking: viewed and accepted#
Rennt stamps the proposal's progress, and you can see it on the order's detail: "Link created — not opened yet", then Viewed with a date, then Accepted with a date. That one line tells you whether to follow up ("did you get a chance to look?") or to start prepping.
Sending it well#
- Send the link in a short personal email — two sentences beat a formal letter. Send email from the customer's record in Customers keeps it logged on their history.
- Follow up once, about three days after Viewed with no acceptance. Once is professional; daily is desperate.
- Need to change the quote after sending? Update it — the link shows the current version, so the customer always sees your latest numbers.
